This site is about the impact of the Salmon People (the spirits of the salmon) of the Pacific Northwest on the Native American tribes of the area.  Specifically, it is a look at the folklore that that stems from this symbiotic relationship.  Folklore has been described as, “…visual and performing arts, sculpture, architecture, music, theater, literature, linguistics, and history rolled into one” (Sims and Stephens, 2011).  To this end, the tribes of the Pacific Northwest have surely created a rich culture honoring and integrating the Salmon People into their society.
